How to merge PDF files

  1. Click Choose PDFs (multiple) and select two or more files at once — or come back later and add another batch; every upload is appended to the list.
  2. Check the numbered rows: order top → bottom is the order of pages in the merged file.
  3. Fix mistakes with the up/down arrows on each row, or remove a file with the trash button.
  4. Press Merge PDF (enabled from two files upwards) and the combined document downloads as merged.pdf.

One file, assembled in order

Each source contributes its pages in sequence, so the result behaves like a single ordinary PDF — exactly what a portal wants when it accepts one attachment but your paperwork arrives as five separate scans. The work happens in your browser; the files are never uploaded to a server, which makes this safe for contracts, ID documents and internal material. An encrypted or damaged file stops the merge with a plain-language error rather than producing a corrupt output.

Getting the order right

Order matters most when each file is a single page — application form plus annexures, a signed page plus supporting documents. Set the sequence before merging instead of fixing it afterwards: if pages inside one file are also out of order, run the merged result through Organize PDF, or split first and merge the pieces in the sequence you want. A merge is also a handy first step before Compress PDF when many small files need to land under a portal’s upload cap as one combined document.
